Lesson 6 - I MUST REMAIN FLEXIBLE

Six.jpg

This is true in so many ways. Sometimes I will run with Mali, and well you must remain flexible when you run with Mali because sometimes she just forgets we are running and decides to do something else at less than a moments notice.

Sometimes it is really hot and humid out and you miss your turn at mile 1 during an 8 mile run and you finish most of your water by mile 2 and you have to run a new course and get lost on that new course and have to backtrack and test your limits.

At times like this we must adjust, and remember the end goal and keep the journey heading in that direction. I can only imagine how many unexpected bumps in the road there will be during a 31 mile run, so practicing the flexibility today shall help in not letting the little hurdles discourage or get in the way of the long distance goal.

I am raising money for two charities: The Front Row Foundation and Our Pioneers. I am lucky enough to know the people who operate these charities and value each of their causes and missions deeply. So if you feel so inclined to support their causes and me through providing more inspiration with every dollar donated it would be greatly appreciated.
